Take some of the loop home
Three soils, all made here from what this neighbourhood returns — member kitchens, our own growing rooms, and the juice pulp from Raw Juicescape on Whalley Avenue. None of them travels: compost is heavy, and shipping it would cost more carbon than the loop saves.
Sizes and prices not yet set
These three cannot enter the Shop catalogue until each has a bag or volume size and a price — the cart needs a real number, and inventing one here would put a figure on the site that nobody at the farm has agreed to.
Where the loop leaks
It isn’t closed yet. About a third of members don’t bring scraps back — and that’s honest data, not a hidden number. The CO₂ figures are modeled estimates from EPA factors, not measured at the windrow.
We’d rather show you a leaky loop we’re closing than a perfect one that isn’t real.
