Membership FAQ
Everything about the 28-day cycle, skips, pauses, pickup, and food safety — written the way we’d explain it at a pickup table.
Why a share
A share is not a subscription box. You hold a piece of a season: what is genuinely ready that week is what comes to you, and the risk of a slow week sits with all of us rather than only with the farm.
We did not invent the word. Membership farming has a documented lineage in Black agricultural history — Booker T. Whatley’s Clientele Membership Club at Tuskegee, and Fannie Lou Hamer’s Freedom Farm Cooperative in Sunflower County.
Read the lineage, with sources →Still wondering? admin@rootlife.ag or 860-751-2634 — a person answers within one business day.

Choose your share. Choose your flavor. Let the farm do the growing.
